At Volunteers of America senior living and care communities, the health and safety of our residents, staff and extended community is of utmost importance. We’re working around the clock to monitor the COVID-19 vaccine situation and follow the current recommendations of the CDC and other state and local health officials on distribution efforts. There are three vaccines that have been approved by the Food & Drug Admnistration (FDA) for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). They are the Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna and Janssen vaccines. Pharmacy Partnership Program
Volunteers of America National Services communities participate in the federal Pharmacy Partnership for Long-term Care (LTC) Program to facilitate safe vaccination of this critical patient population. Our communities are working with Omnicare a CVS Health Company and Walgreens. The pharmacy partner varies by location. Please contact your community to learn who is their pharmacy partner.
