Jennifer Benjamin I Executive Director

Jennifer Benjamin has over 20 years of senior living experience and a strong background in human resources. She firmly believes that the foundation of providing great care is building a dedicated team that works together to make a difference in the lives of the residents. Her experience working in both small family-owned companies and large national multi-state providers has given her a firm understanding of the constantly changing environment in the healthcare industry.  When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and working on renovation and outdoor projects around her home.

Michael Dolinsky I Residence Director

For Michael, getting the opportunity to be the Residence Director at the Homestead at Rochester and to oversee Assisted Living and Independent living has been more than a dream come true! He is thrilled to surround himself daily with wonderful people with so much history, wisdom, and amazing life experiences. Michael is excited to come into work each day and make every second count. He grew up in Madison, WI; he has a BA degree from University of Wisconsin La Crosse. Immediately after college, he worked in international sales that allowed him to move around the world. He met his wife Alisa while working in Toronto, Ontario. They moved back to Minnesota in order to pursue a higher level of education and to find their dream jobs. They have a fun-loving Huskita (Siberian Husky cross Akita Inu) named Jasper!

Hannah Thompson I Marketing Director

Hannah has eight years of experience in sales and marketing. She graduated from the University of Minnesota, Crookston with a BS in Business Administration and Marketing. Before joining The Homestead team, Hannah worked as the Director of Operations for a transportation company in Rochester. Hannah enjoys assisting families and seniors in transitioning to a new chapter of their lives; helping them to select a new home with services that match their unique needs. The Homestead is also a very special place to her. Hannah’s grandmother lived here from 2017 to March 2019, in both Assisted Living and Memory Care. Hannah is the mother to four children who keep her extremely busy.

Eric Schaefer I Environmental Services Director

Eric has worked in this field for nearly 10 years. He is boiler licensed and EPA certified. He began working at the Homestead at Rochester in the spring of 2017. His position plays a vital role in maintaining the resident’s safety as well as the upkeep and care of the grounds. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He enjoys camping, hunting, and fishing.

Kyle Pronschinske I Human Resources Business Partner

Kyle has almost a decade of successful experience within Long Term Care of hiring and working within the intricacies of employee management. Outside of work, he is a landlord and home improvement DIYer. He enjoys outdoor activities like volleyball, softball, bonfires and spending time with family and friends.

Cecilia Dasa I RN Supervisor

Cecilia is the nurse supervisor in the Legacy (1900) building. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from University of Northwestern – St. Paul. She graduated in May of 2020. Before joining the Homestead at Rochester, she worked as a floor nurse in a skilled nursing facility. She was raised in San Diego, but spent high school in Japan on a Naval base before moving to Minnesota for college. She enjoys drawing, painting, and reading.

Sylvia Myson I RN Supervisor

Sylvia was born and raised in Monrovia, Liberia. Growing up, she witnessed great tragedy and death due to the Civil War in her country. This inspired her to become a health care worker.  After she immigrated to the US in 1999, her journey in nursing began. She received her CNA at North Memorial Hospital.  After relocating to Rochester, she worked as a PCA at St. Mary’s Neuro ICU. She received training at RCTC and became a TMA. She began working at the Homestead at Rochester in 2017. She received an education scholarship through VOA, which helped her fulfill her dreams of becoming a nurse. Graduating from Rasmussen College with ASN, she finally achieved her dream. She loves working for VOA because of the support for employees and the opportunity to grow.  When not at work, she spends time with her children and her mother.

Lisa Jones I Business Office Manager

Lisa’s duties include all the monthly billing for rent and services, as well as being the supervisor over the concierge service.  She enjoys spending the day with her co-workers and the residents. She lives in Fountain, MN which is 35 miles south of Rochester. She has 11 children and six grandchildren, which is truly her biggest accomplishment in life! She has a huge garden and enjoys canning in the late summer and early fall.

Darci Baumann-Fern I Culinary Services Manager

Darci has worked in the long-term care field for over 20 years in both the nursing department and in the culinary department. She was previously the General Manager for Cura Hospitality. She has degrees in psychology, business, women studies, child development, and nutrition. She is responsible for the culinary operation at the Homestead at Rochester from human resources, to menu development, to recruiting, and maintaining financials. What she likes most is she never gets the same day twice! She currently lives in Mabel, MN with her teen son, Jacob. She has two cats, one dog and two parrots to keep her busy. She loves fishing, playing softball, and building Lego models in her spare time.

Kimber Schletty I Life Enrichment Manager

Kimber is Activity Director Certified through NCCAP and has her MS from Winona State University. She has worked at the Homestead at Rochester since June of 2017.  She began her career here as the Memory Support Coordinator and became the Life Enrichment Manager in 2018. She has great interest in genealogy and family histories, thus loves hearing the resident’s stories. Some of the biggest thrills of her job are being able to bring joy to the residents and helping them to add more to their stories! When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews!  Additionally, she loves gardening, quilting, doing puzzles, reading books or serving with her church. The biggest item on her to-do-list is to someday take a trip to Switzerland.

Cherie Smith I Memory Support Director

Cherie is a CAEd  (Board Certified in Alzheimer’s Education), and is considered a “subject matter expert” in the field of dementia.  She feels honored to serve as the new Director of Memory Support Programs and Services.  Her mother was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia in 2004. In her honor, she’s dedicated her professional life to serving people living with Dementia and their family. She is also trained in grief support and other ongoing education to provide the best and most up-to-date resources and training available. She is excited to have the Memory Care Suites at Bellemoor, which is unique as it allows couples to stay together and gives the non-effected spouse support and respite knowing that their loved one is safe and cared for in their absence. She is married and has six children and one grandson. She and her family enjoy fishing, hunting and gardening. She enjoys coming to work every day with such talented people and she has a deep appreciation for the organizations’ mission, history and dedication to service.

Caitlin Larson I Guest Relations Coordinator

Caitlin has worked at The Homestead at Rochester since 2019. She graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2005 with a BA in Psychology. Caitlin enjoys music and loves animals. She has been a member of the Minnesota Herpetological Society since 1999 and enjoys educating the public about the proper care and husbandry of reptiles and amphibians.

Whitney Peterson I Talent Acquisition Partner

Whitney has been the Talent Acquisition Partner for The Homestead at Rochester for two years. The best part of her position is being able to see such a diverse culture being hired into our facility. She enjoys watching her children play sports, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, coaching, hiking, fishing and being out in the sun with friends and family.

Chelsea Rikhus I Staffing Manager

Chelsea has worked at the Homestead at Rochester for three years. She started as a CNA/TMA and in August 2020, she took on her current role.  She has a five-year-old son who keep her busy. In her free time, she enjoys going to her family cabin in Wabasha, MN. She enjoys spending her weekends floating on a boat and making memories with her friends and family. And last but not least…SKOL!
