Zachary Schmitz, MHA, LNHA 
I  Executive Director

Zach has 3 years of Skilled Nursing Administration and has his Masters in Health Administration. His goal is to provide valuable support and leadership to Maplewood Senior Living in order to achieve team goals and outcomes. He believes in creating a culture where resident quality of care is the most important driver to our continued success. When away from his desk he enjoys fishing, hunting, being on the lake, and playing golf.


Annalisha Perez  I  Residence Director

Annalisha began working with seniors over 15 years ago. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Studies but enjoyed working with the senior population so much that she decided to stay in the senior care industry. Prior to being the Residence Director at The Homestead at Maplewood, Annalisha worked as an Executive Director in assisted living, Sales & Marketing Director and Life Enrichment Director. When away from her desk, Annalisha enjoys volunteering as President to the St. Paul Senior Workers Association and loves spending time with her husband and two spunky sons.


Nicolle Driscoll  I  Director of Sales and Marketing

Nicolle is responsible for supporting both the care center and assisted living facility with admissions. Also, she is responsible for the sales process during initial inquiry to the final move-in coordination of residents at the assisted living facility. She is in the community engaging with families to educate them of the services offered on site at the campus and is engaging with other healthcare professionals to partner and coordinate the best care for their patients. Nicolle has 5 years of Healthcare Marketing experience. When away from her desk and the community, Nicolle enjoys traveling and coaching volleyball. She played collegiate volleyball from 2012-2016 at Carlow University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Health Management.  She recently moved to Minnesota from the East Coast – Pennsylvania/ New York.


Todd Bruns  I  Director of Maintenance

Todd is responsible for basic electrical and plumbing repairs and the supervision of the maintenance department. He conducts a variety of preventative and restorative maintenance duties on Maplewood Senior Living campus. Todd has been performing these duties at the community for over 18 years! He has always had a love for fixing and building different projects. When away from his workshop, he is up North on his property hunting and fishing.


CarieAnn Williams, CDM, CFPP  I  Director of Culinary Services

CarieAnn is responsible for supporting the Food and Nutrition Services Department for both Maplewood Care Center and the Homestead at Maplewood. Her priorities are to provide good food and service while sustaining a safe and sanitary environment. She is involved with the national organization of Association of Nutrition and Food Service Professionals having served on the board of directors on the state and national levels. While also continuing to work on committees for that organization, she participates in continuing education to keep up with changes and advancements in the culinary scene. When away from her desk and the community, CarieAnn enjoys camping, reading and spending time with her three rescues dogs. She recently moved to St. Paul after living in New Market for 12 years. She has been married for almost 24 years and has a son who will be in his first year of college this fall. She is originally from the Iron Range area and visits family there as often as she can.

Marcy Rumbo 
I  Receptionist

Marcy is currently the Lead Receptionist at The Homestead at Maplewood. Prior to her current position, Marcy was the Culinary Assistant Manager for two years and a charge PM cook for ten years at Maplewood Senior Living. In her spare time, she enjoys going out dancing with her husband and going on walks outside around various parks and lakes. Marcy has raised three wonderful boys, and has two amazing grandchildren that she loves to spoil. Marcy’s favorite things are to spend time with her whole family and enjoy home cooked meals together.

Bridget Sabin  I  Human Resources Director

Bridget has worked with VOA since July 2015. She spent 2 years at VOA’s Anoka site and then transferred to Maplewood in September 2017. She has worked in Human Resources since 2003 – working for a manufacturing company and then transitioning to Healthcare in 2010! When away from her desk she enjoys outdoor activities, swimming, and spending time with her family (especially her granddaughter)!


Brian McKee  I  Director of Life Enrichment

Brian is responsible for implementing programs to enhance the quality of life and to meet each resident’s physical, social, cognitive, spiritual and sensory needs. His duties are to oversee the Life Enrichment department at Maplewood Senior Living. Brian enjoys going on community outings and scenic drives with the residents! Brian has worked with Volunteers of America for 23 years. When away from his desk he enjoys spending time with his family, 2 dogs and bowling.

Tara Gardenhire  I  Life Enrichment Assistant

Tara is responsible for implementing and monitoring assigned life enrichment and leisure life programming for all residents at The Homestead at Maplewood. She graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University and received her Bachelors in Recreation Community Health. She has been with the community for over 4 years! She enjoys coordinating live entertainment, craft hour, baking classes and so much for the residents! When away from her desk she enjoys being around her family and pets!
